Saturday is market day, when you can get all the fruits and vegetables (and beef, poultry, arepas and coffee) from the countryside. It’s way cheaper than buying it at the grocery store chains and, we think, fresher and better. Also, more of the money probably gets back to the farmers themselves. (The folks at the market here in the city are usually reselling food they bought from the farmers.) Here’s a bunch more pictures:

    The little yellow balls are “uchuvas” or goldenberries.
    They are yummy!
